Wash your hands very often
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially when you have been in a public place, or coughing or sneezing after running down your nose.
If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover the entirety of your hands in sanitizer and lather gently until the skin is dry
Avoid touching your face with your hands (especially the eyes and nose)
Avoid close contact with other individuals (Self-Quarantine)
Avoid close contact with people who are ill
Even though self-quarantine may start to feel lonely or get boring fairly quickly, it is what is best for the health and safety of you, your family, and your friends.
Take steps to protect others
Stay home if you're sick
If you are ill, try to stay at home, and avoid going outside.
Cover your coughs and sneezes
When you cough or sneeze, block it using the inside of your elbow, or cover your mouth and nose with a tissue.
Throw away used tissues and thoroughly clean used handkerchiefs.
Wear a face mask in public
If you have access to facemasks, use them! Although they may not be the most comfortable item of clothing worn, they are vital to the containment of the virus as the masks can block small droplets released when someone coughs or sneezes. These droplets, mostly made out of water, can carry the progenitor virus for hours in the air without a mask.
Cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation.
Clean commonly used surfaces frequently. COVID-19 viruses can persist on contacted surfaces for a long time, ranging from several hours to many days.
